Abstract

The qualitative assessment of the professional and methodical competencies of future biology teachers is crucial to ensuring that they are well-prepared to deliver effective education. This paper presents a theoretical framework for the assessment of these competencies, focusing on the multifaceted nature of teaching biology, which involves both content knowledge and the ability to apply pedagogical strategies. By analyzing the critical aspects of professional development, this study offers insights into how competency assessments can be improved to foster teaching excellence.
