Abstract

This study explores the possibilities of adapting traditional and modern methods in teaching music theory to enhance student engagement and understanding. By employing a mixed-methods approach, the research analyzes the effectiveness of integrating conventional instructional techniques with contemporary practices, including technology and diverse musical genres. Findings indicate that a blended curriculum significantly improves students' theoretical knowledge and retention, fostering a more dynamic learning environment. Educators report increased motivation and participation among students. This research underscores the importance of a hybrid teaching model that prepares students for practical applications in music while cultivating critical thinking and appreciation for diverse musical contexts.
