Generative Artificial Intelligence And Narrative Digital Text Creation: Opportunities And Risks For Pre-Service Primary Teacher Education
Keywords:
Generative artificial intelligence, digital text, narrative approachAbstract
The paper discusses how the spread of generative artificial intelligence affects the development of digital text creation competence in future primary school teachers. Opportunities and risks are outlined, and it is argued that the narrative approach, with its emphasis on personal experience, a concrete addressee and authorial responsibility, provides a framework within which AI tools can be used without weakening the competence they are meant to support. A sequence of learning tasks is proposed.
